The Technique of Bucks Point Lace by Pamela Nottingham
I'm going to start this book blog with a confession - I have a very big soft spot for Pamela Nottingham's books.
My first lace book was Bobbin Lace Making and then I went on to learn Torchon and Bedfordshire lace through her Technique of books.
This book should not be confused with Pam's other book on Bucks Point: Bucks Point Lacemaking.
What works well?
- Pam Nottingham's writing style is very easy to read. She is very descriptive.
Anything that we need to take into consideration?
- This book was one of the first of Pam's books to be published with colour diagrams where the use of blue and black were used to help define the diagrams.
- This book is out of print, but frequently comes up on eBay.
