First Things First
You want to make lace?

Great.

I started making lace in my early 20s and it's been such a gateway to both a passion for making lace and a gateway for meeting people and learning other crafts.
Get Your Equipment
I've added advice here on the lacebee as well as on Rothwell Bobbins.

If you are worried about investing in lace equipment at the start there is a great video on affordable / starter lace equipment by cajahsr on YouTube.

Many things can be used to get you started on your lace journey

Get Support
As with anything, getting a support network is essential for most people and when it comes to lacemaking, there are some fantastic resources out there.

If you love the tools of your trade, then you will adore Find the Maker.

Dedicated to documenting modern bobbin makers, the group is a place to share bobbins of those makers you know and to identify the bobbins you don't know.
