OIDFA Point Ground Lace

Publisher : OIDFA
OIDFA Point Ground Lace
A comparative study

This book is multilingual with side by side translations for English, French and German

Originally printed in 2001, this book has now been reprinted by OIDFA.

This book was produced by the OIDFA 'Point Ground' work group which had lacemakers from 13 countries involved in it and was coordinated by Pamela Nottingham.

What works well?
  • The book is full of clear black & white and colour working diagrams that use the international colour system
  • The tables and diagrams create clear comparisons across the different laces.
Anything that we need to take into consideration?
  • There are few sample patterns at the end of the book to show the differences in lace, but primarily this book is not a pattern book
  • If you are purchasing the 2001 edition, second hand, please ensure that you have the loose leaf corrections page included
  • This book is available direct from OIDFA

I'm the lace bee and these are my books

With currently over 400 books and about the same number of individual patterns, I have an enviable library.  So here are some of my books.

You can see all of the titles by opening up the archives or by clicking on the categories which I've used to group by authors, language and lace types.  Want to find a particular book?  Scroll to the top of the page, click on the magnifier glass and type in a title or author.

I am very grateful to the lace gumnuts of Australia for permission to quote and link their reviews to this site.
