Ann Buck has written a biography of Catherine Channer and has incorporated Catherine Channer's book; Lacemaking in the Midlands, Past and Present.

Catherine Channer promoted English lace and her book, Lacemaking Point Ground has been in and out of print since the early 20th Century.

​Miss Channer designed many pieces of lace including the mythical 'Miss Channer's mat pattern has been fought over lacemakers world wide as a piece of lace that they all yearn to make.  As it has been out of print for over 2 decades, it's rarity has only served to increase it's legend.
