David Stanley
Cats and mice and fish.
I bought this pair at a lace day in Uxbridge in the 1990s. One of the base beads has a fish bone and the other has a mouse.
At the time, I bought them because they reminded me of the big black cat who I grew up to, as a child, but now they serve as a reminder of our black cat at home; Agnes who believes her name is 'Princess'.
David Stanley was a wood turner based in Hertfordshire who attended lace days with bobbins, earring stands and needlework accessories.
