  • This book provides not just the information on making the lace petals, but also how to assemble the flowers.
  • This book is out of print, but occasionally it comes up second hand on eBay and lace suppliers.

Information is given on the number of pairs and suggested thread.  Some information is provided on some of the techniques used, but a working knowledge of Bucks Point lace is assumed.

Henk also published a second volume in the same format on Torchon lace. ​

This was one of the very first books to be published during the UK revival of lace in the 1970s.

It takes you on a whistle stop tour of the major laces with instructions for them: Torchon, Beds, Honiton and Tape
What works well?
  • Incredibly clear black and white line drawings for the working diagrams and good B&W photos throughout.
Anything that we need to take into consideration?
  • This book is currently out of print, but often comes up for sale on eBay, second hand book sites and through lace suppliers

  • Whilst this book is in Swedish this should not prove an issue for those who do not speak Swedish, check out my post on translations
