Fiandra lace originates in Gorizia, in Italy and is very reminicent of Idrija laces with this flowing forms. (This is why I have tagged this book as Idrija in my blog).

The first half of the book is dedicated to learning the technique with step by step photos showing the techniques.

Each of the languages are shown highliged in different colours:

ISBN-10 : 0957201206
ISBN-13 : 978-0957201200
Bobbin Lace Jewellery by Jennifer MacPherson
I met Jennifer at the Lace Guild Rally in 2012, just after she launched this book and was lucky enough to see some of her pieces in real life.

I would definitely suggest this book for the adventurous beginner as Jennifer provides clear instructions and includes the supplementary pack of techniques.

Perhaps this is a great follow on book from Pat Read's An Introduction to Milanese Lace from the Lace Guild

I'm the lace bee and these are my books

With currently over 400 books and about the same number of individual patterns, I have an enviable library.  So here are some of my books.

You can see all of the titles by opening up the archives or by clicking on the categories which I've used to group by authors, language and lace types.  Want to find a particular book?  Scroll to the top of the page, click on the magnifier glass and type in a title or author.

I am very grateful to the lace gumnuts of Australia for permission to quote and link their reviews to this site.
