​This is a collection of patterns by Eeva-Liisa covering Christmas, Angels, small motifs and even some beautiful tulips.

At the start of the book are two pages on techniques using the patterns, however this is aimed at the enthusiastic intermediate lacemaker.
What works well?
  • The book is illustrated through out with black and white photos along with a couple of colour plates.
Anything that we need to take into consideration?
  • This book is out of print, but occasionally appears second hand

Uudet Nyplaysmallit by Eeva-Liisa Kortelahti
​As with all of Eeva-Liisa's books, this is beautifully illustrated throughout with with black and white diagrams and photos.

This book is in Finnish, so for a native speaker this would be a great beginner book.  For non Finnish speakers, this diagrams and patterns are perfect for the confident beginner.

What works well?
  • Clear, full colour photos of techniques and working diagrams, along with colour photos of the finished pieces.
Anything that we need to take into consideration?
  • Whilst this book is in Finnish this should not prove an issue for those who do not speak Finnish, check out my post on translations
  • This pattern is still in print.
